Road signs and traffic lights will reduce deaths

My heart goes out to the bereaved relatives and friends of the late Petal Blair whose life was snuffed out at the corners of Regent and Camp Streets. This chilling episode is just a reminder of the lawlessness that is prevalent on our roadways. From all accounts speeding was the main reason for the accident which was compounded by the absence of the traffic light at the intersection. How many more must perish because of the lawlessness on our roads?

Traffic lights plea

I AM appealing to the authorities to install new and working traffic lights at the junction of Camp and Lamaha streets in Georgetown.
 Accidents are occurring there every day.
I was a victim of one of these accidents in the first week of the school term but God spared my life.
Now, as I pass there every day, I see so many little children, elderly people and others just waiting to cross but none of the vehicles going by would allow them to pass.
I recently witnessed yet another accident.
